Invisalign allows your teeth to straighten by using clear aligners. The aligners are virtually invisible, removable, and comfortable. Invisalign is customized orthodontics made with 3-D imaging technology.
How does it work?
After a thorough orthodontic evaluation, our doctors design a treatment plan to meet your goals. We take tooth impressions which Invisalign will use to customize the series of aligners needed to straighten your teeth. Our doctors use advanced technology to map out the movement of your teeth for each aligner. Invisalign makes your aligners following our doctor's prescription.
Wearing your Aligners
The aligners are worn twenty-four days a day, except when eating, brushing, and flossing. Each aligner is numbered for your convenience. Make sure the aligners are completely seated over your teeth. There should not be a space between the biting edge of the tooth and the aligner.
Caring for Aligners
Brush your aligners with toothpaste as often as you brush your teeth and rinse with cool water. We recommend soaking the aligners in an over the counter denture cleaner three times per week to keep them fresh.
When To Call the Office
Please call the office if you should lose or break an aligner. It is important to let the receptionists know which aligner is broken/lost (upper or lower). Invisalign will send a replacement in about one week.
